Bill

My name is Bill Seward and I have been a dental technician since 1986. I received my training from the School of Health Care Science while stationed at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas. While stationed there we were taught all aspects of being a dental technician including dentures, partials, crowns, bridges and orthodontic appliances. I spent the remaining years of my 6 year enlistment at Bolling A.F.B. in Washington D.C. At this assignment I was able to work with a variety of dentists to increase my knowledge and improve my manual dexterity. Working this close with the dentists enabled me to sit chair side and learn the clinical and technical aspects of restoring a patients oral health. In 1991 I separated from the Air Force and went to work at Bourque Dental Laboratory where I worked until March 2004. Here I was able to further increase my knowledge and learn new techniques and strategies that were not taught to us while I was in the Air Force. In April 2004 I opened Superior Oral Prosthetics, Inc. and specialize solely in the aspect of removable oral prosthetics.

I own and operate a single person dental laboratory and believe and practice the team approach when restoring a patients oral health. All procedures are performed by myself in the laboratory (except partial frameworks). This ensures the patient receives the highest quality prosthetic appliance that the dentist and I can deliver to them. I personally schedule all cases in the lab to make sure I have adequate time required to perform each requested procedure and that there are no compromises being made on my behalf.

I regularly attend continuing education courses to keep up on the latest techniques and materials. Some of the Clinicians and Technicians I have received training from are Dr. Joseph Massad, Dr. Michel Venot, Dr. Michael Wiley, Tom Mays, CDT, Tom Zaleske, Bruce Keeling, CDT and Robert Kreyer, CDT. I would recommend everyone attend one of their seminars, they all offer very valuable information and insight.
